The first article to carry a million dollar tag for 2008 on Luxurylaunches is the Ford Mustang Convertible that was sold for $5,500,000 to be precise.
It is whispered to be the first ever Mustang Convertible to roll off the production line and also the first ever Mustang sold for that price tag.

The car carries a build date of March 9, 1964 – the first day that the fabled pony car rolled down the Rouge assembly line.
GM started to produce Buick in 1963 and until 1999 it sold 1,127,261 units. And now a new concept with the same name will be presented at the Detroit Auto Show.
As you can see the design is a radical one but has some classic lines resembling older Y-Job (the first concept car in history) and Le Sabre models.
The body is mainly made of carbon fibre and with its Gullwing doors.

The 2008 Chevrolet HHR SS is the latest example of what Chevrolet considers the new generation of SS cars — vehicles that, to quote the PR folks’ oft-repeated mantra, “go, stop and turn significantly better” than standard Chevrolet cars.

2008 Chevrolet HHR SS
Chevrolet is counting on the HHR SS to give buyers a proper re-introduction to the SS lineup.
Chevy has eliminated this problem in the HHR SS, which is great — there’s no sudden burst of power to break the wheels loose as you jet out of the corners. But turbo lag is also a cheap thrill, and to be honest, I kind of missed it. Chevy claims a 0-60 time of 6.3 seconds and a 15.8 second quarter mile, but the HHR SS doesn’t feel that fast.
Hummer is presenting is new concept, named HX.
The HX features a number of removable or changeable body panels to increase both its off-road ability and practicality.

The roof panels, fastback rear glass and even the doors can all be quickly removed to create an exposed to the elements dune basher and to help with tight spots out in the wilds the flared wheelarches covering the mammoth 35-inch tall tyres can be removed with a few twists of an allen key.
After many years, the surname Dodge became a symbol of four wheels and symbol of America too.
Since its first model in 1914, till this year 2007, this manufacturer passed a long way with magnificent and unavoidable progress that is really a part of mankind’s history.
So the year 2007 – the newest model Avenger that continues in a perfect history of the American brand. Ant this saloon is an essential part of one modification in „Star Wars“ style called the „Stormtrooper.“
The Chevrolet Cobalt returns to the traditional Chevy car style in many ways, aside from the Corvette-like round tail-lamps. It takes the standard small car and adds a certain touch of class and comfort, and sells at a small premium if you ignore the rebates.
The interior has a quality look absent from many competitors, and the ride is smoother without giving up much in cornering. Overall, we liked the ride/handling balance and the engine’s willingness to move at speed, and regretted a bit of low-end hesitation and some quirks.
The SRT group takes ordinary vehicles and turns them into high performance muscle machines; they have three cars and a Jeep named SRT-8, all using the 6.1 liter Hemi engine.
The least likely of the trio is the Dodge Magnum, the station wagon we’re not supposed to call a station wagon.
The Magnum R/T has a nice ride and surprisingly good dry-road handling, with quite a bit of power; but it’s hard to break the rear tires loose for longer than it takes to chirp them.
The WRC constructor’s title was won by Ford, so this deserves a good celebration with a special car, which can be champion on rallies.
Ford presented a photo that wants to put in work every sporty hatchback lover’s imagination.
The American constructor is preparing the RS version for Focus, much powerful than the ST, made now.
The Focus RS debut will take place next year, and we already know few things about its engine.
It seems that the new race Ford will have a turbo propeller of 2.5 litres from Focus ST, but we expect that the maximum power to be around 280 hp, an important rise (instead of the 225 hp of ST).
The Ford Mustang GT500KR is cast as the next KITT, Michael Knight’s faithful crime-fighting companion car.

In case you were wondering, David Hasselhoff is going to return to play the lead role once again.
The 540hp Ford Mustang GT500KR is going to be playing 3 different versions of KITT:
- the driverless version,
- a high-speed combat mode,
- and a standard version of the hero car.
Sounds a little far-fetched, but KITT’s new abilities are granted to it courtesy of nano-technology— allowing it to shift the car’s body color and shape.
In Britain, £15,000 buys you a mean and miserable family hatchback.
Well, we wouldn’t actually call a 2-litre Ford Focus miserable, but it’s not exactly the last word in feel-good motoring either.
ver in the States, however, $30,000 is serious money for buying motors. Sticking with Ford for a moment, $30k will buy you a full-on, pimped-out V8 Mustang with all the trimmings.
The entry level V6 starts at $19,000. Very good!
