Ford Mondeo maximum security
New Ford Mondeo obtained 5 stars on security test, done by EuroNCAP.
EuroNCAP test shows that the car is doing very well in case of front impact. Security cell stays stabile and the safety bells and airbags works efficient and prevent the contact with the board. Driver’s knees are very well protected by the airbag, which is mounted in the inferior part of the direction motorcade.
At this test, made at 64 km/h, Mondeo obtained 15 points of 16 possible.
The lateral impact and the pylon impact went very good for Mondeo, which obtained the maximum points, 18.
The 15 points obtained at frontal impact test, with 18 points obtained at the lateral impact test, plus 2 more bonus points permitted Mondeo to be accredited with 5 safety stars, with a total of 35 points.
The kids are also well protected by car, on this test Mondeo getting 4 stars from 5 possible.
Talking about pedestrian’s protection, Mondeo obtained 2 stars from 4 possible, EuroNCAP officials telling that the front spoiler is “friendly” with pedestrians, but the place where an adult head can be heated don’t offer any protection.
